Whitfield Pellet insert.

Reason to Service your Pellet stove every year.

Reason to ALWAYS run a full reline for a pellet stove.

This stove was not serviced for a few seasons.
The Install (not by us) was a direct connect. (5 feet of flex) up the chimney with only some insulation stuffed in the damper.
This DID NOT keep fly ash from coming back down into the fireplace and getting sucked back into the home through the room air blower.
Also the installers DID NOT screw the hopper top back down and Pellets spilled over into the back behind the insert and some where lodged in the room air blower.

We when back cleaned the fireplace and Installed a full reline and sealed off the top of the chimney and damper.
